We are excited to welcome three new Universities from SPAIN to the STEP Project! The three institutions, University of Valencia, in Valencia, Spain; University of Extremadura, in Badajoz, Spain; and Abat Oliba CEU, Barcelona, Spain recently collaborated to contribute data to our 2019 STEP Survey this past year. The Survey resulted in a rich, diverse global data set of over 1800 respondents and the STEP Global Report findings were released in October 2019. The three Universities have now formalized their membership and will be working together as one team to represent Spain in the STEP Project. These universities are led by 4 exceptional scholars who are doing great work in the field of Family Business Entrepreneurship: Alejandro Escribá-Esteve (Valencia); Ramón Sanguino Galván (Extremadura) and Fernando Álvarez Gómez & Carmen Ruiz Viñals (Abat Oliba CEU). Their research focuses on family firms and how it relates to governance, managerial teams, and business strategy (Valencia); knowledge management, entrepreneurial orientation and performance in family firms (Extremadura); and analyzing decision making processes and leadership in Family firms. The Global STEP Board has endorsed the new Spain membership and we look forward to working with them. Please join us in sending a warm welcome to University of Valencia, University of Extremadura, and Abat Oliba CEU!
