New Appointments in STEP Leadership

The STEP Project for Family Enterprising is thrilled to announce two new appointments in STEP governance leadership positions.

We welcome James Davis from the Jon M. Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University, USA, serving as the STEP Global Board Chair for 2018.  James Davis is the Buehler Endowed Prof. of Management, Management Department Head, MBA Program and Executive Education Director at Utah State.  His areas of specialization are strategic planning, family business, change management, entrepreneurship and international management.  Prof. Davis has served as both member of the STEP Global Board and the North American Regional Leadership Council since his University joined the project in 2011.   As Board Chair, Prof. Davis will provide strategic leadership and vision to the STEP project.


We also send a warm welcome to Andrea Calabrò , Professor of Family Business & Entrepreneurship at IPAG Business School (France).  Andrea Calabrò was recently appointed 2018 STEP Academic Co-director and will work alongside Academic Director Matt Allen (Babson College) for 2018.  Prof. Calabrò will serve as STEP Academic Director in 2019 and 2020.  Andrea Calabrò  has been Professor/Chairholder of Business Administration and Family Entrepreneurship at University of Witten/Herdecke (2011-2017). He co-founded the Family Business Research Strategic Interest Group (FBR SIG) at the European Academy of Management (EURAM) and is co-founder and organizer of the International Family Business Research Forum (IFBRF).


The STEP project is honored to have these two distinguished family business scholars contributing not only their knowledge, expertise and leadership, but also their time and dedication to the continued success of the STEP Project.
